Nancy was introduced to photography as a child and has been intrigued by lens-based media ever since. At six years old, she would arrange her stuffed animals into a group and ask her father to photograph them for her. It was then when her interest in staging and Pictorialism began. This creative vision underlies her work as she creates hyper-real cinematic worlds with her photographic eye.
She received her B.A from the University of Wisconsin in Madison where she explored documentary and fine art genres of photography and received a M.F.A. from the School of Visual Arts in New York City from the Photography, Video and Related Media Department. Based in New York City, Nancy has been awarded numerous prizes and exhibited nationally and internationally.
