Bootsy Holler is a Los Angeles artist whose images are rooted in self-portraiture.  She also is a balanced dog trainer and often lets her dogs participate while hiking to locations to shoot. Holler’s series Without Words, chronicles her vivid episodes of experiencing depersonalization. She is often recreating scenes based on the visions she has in this state. She paints the possibility of an ecofeminist solution, casting women and nature in a powerful union against the social constructs that devalue them both.
