Bob Soltys (1955, USA). In 1971, Bob took his camera along with high school seniors who walked out to protest a teachers’ strike that would prevented them from graduating. The weekly paper bought the pictures, launching a 40-year career capturing people and events on film. A former Navy officer, his photos have appeared in newspapers, Midwest Flyer, and Sports Illustrated, and have been exhibited at the Beverly Arts Center in Chicago, the Rangefinder Gallery, SBG Gallery in London, and other galleries. Bob’s fine art prints have raised funds for various charities including the Friends of Anton auction. Bob will donate his share of the sales from this print to The Happy Paw Foundation in Kyiv to help them support animal shelters for homeless cats and dogs in Ukraine.
