Alison Lake is a fine art photographer based in California.  She has had a lifelong involvement in the Arts, and received a BA in art history from the University of California at Santa Barbara. She then studied photography extensively, assisted in commercial studios, and continued with her own creative projects. During travels to many countries, she combines her love of photography and of learning about the world. The collected black and white images represent a spectrum of subjects from the built and natural environments, and reveal a preference for the unexpected and often overlooked fragments of a place. Her images have been exhibited throughout the USA and beyond, have appeared in numerous publications, and are included in the permanent collection of the Monterey Museum of Art.
