BIO:
Bob Soltys’ love of photography began in 1967 when he read the Eye of Eisenstaedt. Shortly after that, his aunts gave him a Kodak Instamatic camera for Christmas. In 1971, he brought his camera along when his fellow high school students walked out to protest a teachers’ strike that would have prevented seniors from graduating. The weekly paper bought his photos, launching a career capturing people and events on film. A former Navy officer, Bob is the coauthor of My Wonderful Life, about his dog Manny. He and Nitro, a Jack Russell Terrier mix, live in Northeast Ohio.
