Artist Statement
This image is from one of those happy little moments when I had my camera in hand as a fleeting image materialized before me accompanied by its own title. Snow Feather. Curiously enough, virtually everyone who has seen it has spontaneously commented that Mochi looks like a feather drifting onto the snow. With luck I will be able to interest my uber talented granddaughter who has been writing and illustrating her own books since she was about six to create one with Mochi as a fairytale heroine. If not, I may have to brush up on my drawing skills and do it myself!
Bio
Carolyn Hollingsworth lives and works in Atlanta, Georgia. Photography has been a lifelong passion but she also enjoys working in various other media. She holds BFA and MFA degrees from Georgia State University where she made a valiant effort to study everything on offer in the art department.
