Leslie Rosenthal is a fine art and documentary photographer based in Pasadena, California, whose work is rooted in close observation and a longstanding interest in place, community, and everyday rituals. Working through long-term projects, she approaches space not only as subject but as collaborator, photographing settings shaped by light, weather, and the built environment, as much as by the people who pass through them. Her work has been widely exhibited and is held in the permanent collection of the Huntington Library.
Statement:
Wollman Rink was photographed as a study of motion and pause, where a public space briefly becomes a shared stage and winter invites people to move together.
