Short bio and statement:
Neal retired in 2013 from a career as a financial executive working with early-stage, venture capital financed technology companies. In retirement, he has expanded a longtime interest in photography to an active pursuit of photographing pretty much anything in nature. He is a member of the Atlanta Photography Group, the Peachtree City Photography Club, and is co-coordinator of the Griffin Chapter of the Georgia Nature Photographers Association. In December 2024, Neal attended an excellent photography workshop in Yosemite National Park. The workshop leader was Michael Frye, a truly amazing landscape photographer based near Yosemite. During this December time period, the temperatures in Yosemite are not cold enough to completely freeze the Merced River. However, parts of the river get little or no sun, and I was able to capture these interesting ice crystals that form along the river bank.
