Sam Mallon is a 20-year-old visual documentarian currently studying at Western Kentucky University. In addition to her studies in visual journalism, she has committed her academic career to an exploration of gender and women’s studies, sociology and folklore. As a result, her work reflects a musing of gender, community and cultural resilience. She is from the Washington, D.C. area and is currently based out of South Central Kentucky.
