I was born in rural Kentucky. B. S. in Biology and Art from Western Kentucky University, 1964. U. S. Army, Vietnam. M. F. A., Photography, Georgia State University, 1984. My work is eclectic. I seldom do series or projects. In some situations I operate like a street photographer in others a painter or print maker. I think of the photographic process as a means to make images, obvious narrative not necessary to the success of those images. I work in both grayscale and color, do my own printing with archival inks and fine art papers. I do my own framing. I see little difference in my photographic efforts from place to place. I photograph continually wherever I am.
