Springtime is an image from my ongoing series “Corollaries”. A series that aims to convey an identification with transformation, through an expressive investigation of life cycles and the natural world. A corollary of seeking truth and connection in an age of dis-information overload. And a love letter to the innovation of flowers.
Joan Benney’s work ponders themes of transformation through an exploration of natural form and metaphor, driven by the personal. She studied film photography at The Photographic Center Northwest in Seattle, Washington. Joan lives and works in San Francisco, California.
