Scott Lowden is a photographer making commercial and fine art work. As an extensive traveler, Lowden imbues his photographs with a sense of place: its history and spirituality. His photography has been recognized through numerous awards at the Graphis Photography Annual, PX3 Prix de la Photographie, Lürzer’s Archive, American Photography, International Photography Awards, Communication Arts, and American Photographic Artists. He has presented his work in solo and group exhibitions across the US in venues such as Kai Lin Art, The Bakery, Atlanta Photography Group, Dragonfly (Hazleton, PA), The Frazer Center Atrium (Atlanta, GA), and South x Southeast Gallery (Molena, GA). He has self-published several books and mail art projects such as The Squirrel Census, Sentiment Del Lugar, Peru (sense of place, Peru), and Sentiment Del Lugar, Mexico (sense of place, Mexico). As a commercial photographer, Scott has been commissioned by numerous national brands and advertising agencies such as Kodak, American Express, Bose, Coca-Cola, Evan Williams, and Delta, to name only a few, and is represented by Randy Cole Represents (www.randycole.com). It’s often when he’s on a break from commissioned projects that he gravitates towards a more documentary and immersive flow.
