Bio
Cynthia Matthews, raised in the Midwest near the family farm, arrived in New York in 1969 and began a career in photography. By the early 1980’s she was photographing extensively for Town & Country magazine, capturing the moods and lifestyles of that sporting world. While she filled various magazines’ pages with color images, she never abandoned her passion for working in classic black and white.
Her photographs have been exhibited in solo and group shows as well as acquired by corporations, museums and private collectors.
