Bio: I am an independent street photographer living in Brooklyn; an artist member of Soho Photo Gallery in New York, and a finalist of international street photography festivals (Brussels, Miami, Rome). My photographs have been featured in juried publications and awarded gallery exhibitions in Milan, Mumbai, New York, Queretaro, and Rome.
Statement (optional): Street photography is my passion, and New York is one of the best places in the world to practice it. My style is a blend of documentary and artistic photography. My ideal image would be complex, layered, illogical, balanced and refined at the same time. I love to add some good humor and irony too, the more the better.
This particular image was taken at Lake Louise in Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada. I was fascinated by the vast snowy landscape set against the dramatic mountain backdrop, with small human figures creating a sharp, almost theatrical contrast.
