Cynthia Johnston is a fine arts photographer with an interest in examining  personal identity and cultural identification. Her current project, “Somewhere in the Middle”, is a collection of work seen through the eyes of a former Midwesterner and gleaned from extensive travel in the “non-coastal” states in the US.

Johnston’s work been exhibited internationally and is included in corporate and private collections in the US, Canada, Germany and Spain. She has recently exhibited work at the Texas Photographic Society, the Griffin Museum of Photography, the Southeast Center for Photography and the Center for Photographic Art.
