Benita VanWinkle is a fine art documentary photographer and an Associate Professor of Art who teaches at High Point University in High Point, NC.  She is prone to great distraction with lots of wonderful projects, but her consistent subject over the past forty years has been photographing over 700 vintage movie theaters across the United States built before 1965.  She lives in Winston-Salem, NC with her husband, two dogs, a herd of horses over the back fence and a flock of chickens over the side fence.
